Welcome! I'm a macroecologist. I like to zoom out and see the bigger picture. And my favourite type of picture is that of biodiversity.
I want to use my work to better our understanding of how biodiversity patterns are distributed in space and time, how they are affected by human actions, and how we could mitigate these negative consequences. I especially like to use a network ecology approach to study how food web structure is affected by climate change and human disturbance.
Currently, I am studying mutualistic and antagonistic interactions in urban gardens in the city of Zurich in order to understand how the trophic structure of the communities of organisms in urban gardens changes along urban densification and garden management gradients.
Interested? Feel free to get it touch! Especially if you're a masters student, I always have projects for your to work on:)
